Placements24 is seeking an experienced Social Impact Project Manager to lead end-to-end initiatives in Welkom, Free State. The role emphasizes strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and rigorous M&E to drive meaningful social progress.

The ideal candidate has a Master's degree and at least 5 years' project management experience, including social impact work, with proficiency in PRINCE2, Agile, and M&E frameworks. Hybrid work options are available for the right candidate.

Formación

• Master's degree in Development Studies, Public Policy, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in social impact or community development.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of PRINCE2, Agile, and M&E frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication, with report writing experience.
• Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and facilitation within the Free State.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Knowledge of Welkom socio-economic context; ability to work independently and in hybrid setting.

Responsabilidades

• Develop project proposals, work plans, and budgets for social impact initiatives.
• Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community members, government officials, NGOs, and corporate partners.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies for potential projects in the Welkom area.
• Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track project impact and outcomes.
• Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for the board and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate community consultations and ensure participatory approaches are embedded in project design and implementation.
• Manage project teams and external consultants as required.
