Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a strategic Social Impact Manager to lead initiatives that generate measurable social change in the Eastern Cape. The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, program design, and impact evaluation within a charitable foundation setting.

You will develop interventions, build partnerships with NGOs, government bodies, and corporate stakeholders, and drive accountability across programs. A strong leadership track record and data-driven approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 7–10+ years of progressive experience in social impact, program management, or CSR in non-profit settings.
• Strong experience in strategic planning, program design, implementation, and M&E.
• Deep understanding of social issues and development challenges in the Eastern Cape region.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and lead cross-functional teams.
• Experience in data analysis and reporting on social impact metrics.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Ability to translate vision into actionable plans and drive sustainable change.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall social impact strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Identify social issues and intervention opportunities within the Eastern Cape.
• Design, manage, and monitor a portfolio of social impact programs.
• Establish KPIs and evaluation frameworks to measure impact and social ROI.
• Build and nurture relationships with community partners, NGOs, government, and corporate stakeholders in East London.
• Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies for new initiatives.
• Oversee program budgets and allocate resources efficiently.
• Prepare reports on activities, outcomes, and impact for leaders and external stakeholders.
• Represent the organization at forums, conferences, and community events.
• Stay informed on best practices and trends in social impact management.
