Job description

The role

We're looking for an experienced social creative who can move from idea to execution quickly - and do both brilliantly.

You'll be someone with around proven experience making social content, whether that's through brands, agencies, media, culture, your own projects or some combination of the above.

You should be as comfortable coming up with the idea as you are shooting, editing and getting it out into the world. You can work independently when speed matters, but you also know how to direct photographers, filmmakers, editors and other creators when the idea needs more.

Most importantly, you should feel genuinely connected to New York's creative scene - the artists, designers, photographers, musicians, spaces, communities and conversations shaping culture in the city.

What you'll do
  • Generate strong social ideas. Develop concepts, formats and stories that feel culturally relevant, distinctive and made for the platform.

  • Make at speed. Shoot and edit content quickly, often with a lightweight set-up and without waiting for a large production machine.

  • Lead when needed. Direct other creators, photographers, editors and production partners when a bigger idea calls for it.

  • Find the interesting people and stories. Use your knowledge of New York's creative scene to identify the people, places and moments worth capturing.

  • Turn access into content. Build relationships with artists and creative communities, and create work that feels authentic rather than overly produced.

  • Raise the creative bar. Bring a strong point of view on what good social looks like, while remaining open to experimentation and fast iteration.

What we're looking for

You're an ideas person who can make.
You can develop a strong concept, recognise what makes it interesting, and turn it into finished content without needing a large team around you.

You have serious social craft.
You understand hooks, pacing, framing, sound, copy and editing - and you can move quickly without the work feeling careless.

You know the New York creative scene.
You have real connections across art, fashion, design, photography, music or adjacent creative communities, and you know where interesting things are happening before everyone else does.

You can work alone or lead others.
You're confident taking something from brief to execution yourself, but equally comfortable directing collaborators and raising the quality of their work.

You have taste and judgement.
You know when something feels fresh, when something feels forced, and when an idea is worth pursuing.
