Job summary

We Are Social in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Designer/Motion Designer/Editor to craft high-quality social-first content. You will translate ideas into visually compelling stories, manage projects from concept to final cut, and collaborate in a fast-paced team to keep brands ahead of trends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an agency, studio, or comparable environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, or related discipline
• Strong portfolio showing short-form content and platform best practices
• Proficient in design/editing tools: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, Lightroom, InDesign
• Solid understanding of Instagram/TikTok features and creator tools like CapCut
• Clear point of view on entertaining audiences and driving views on social
• Strong color, layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and storytelling
• Stays informed on current and upcoming design and social trends

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities in social that stay true to brands
• Translate ideas into visually compelling designs aligned with client objectives
• Ideate, build, shoot, and edit effective stories for social platforms
• Defend design choices and rationale to internal teams and stakeholders
• Navigate challenges with adaptable, aesthetic solutions
• Collaborate across departments to ensure a cohesive final product
• Manage multiple priorities with quick turnarounds for real-time moments
• Create content spanning photography, videography, design, and platform tools
• Switch between styles to make work ownable and talked about
• Design engaging presentations, mockups and light retouching to sell ideas to top clients
• Use AI tools to generate multiple design variations for options
