Job summary

Kendo is seeking a Manager, Social Content Writer to lead native copy across social platforms, email, and CRM. You will partner with the creative team to craft engaging captions, hooks, and scripts for TikTok, Instagram, and other channels, ensuring brand voice at speed.

With 5+ years in social copy and fluency in AI writing tools, you will shape content strategy and optimize messaging, while enjoying a hybrid SF office schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of copywriting with a demonstrable social-first portfolio.
• Fluent in native social copy—understands captions vs headlines.
• Experience with AI writing tools and workflows.
• Knows how copy performs differently across TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and email.
• Strong instinct for hooks that stop a scroll.
• Some content strategy background is a plus; beauty experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write social captions native to each platform; not just campaign copy.
• Create hooks and on-screen copy for TikTok and Reels.
• Develop paid social copy—headlines, body copy, CTAs.
• Draft email and CRM copy; generate variants and subject lines.
• Contribute to content planning with a copy/messaging POV.
• Develop AI copy workflows and prompts to align with brand voice.
• Track platform copy performance and adapt messaging accordingly.
• Incorporate SEO/GEO insights to maximize discoverability while preserving brand voice.
