Abode Money is hiring a Social & Content Lead to build our organic social presence and website content from the ground up. You’ll own content from idea to publishing: short-form video for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube first, then guides and research stories on our site.

You should also care about brand and have a point of view on how Abode should look, sound, and show up. There’s room for this role to grow into broader brand leadership, and the immediate job is hands-on social and content.

The Role

We're hiring a Social & Content Lead to build Abode's organic social presence and website content from the ground up. You'll own content from idea to publishing: short-form video for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube first, then guides and research stories on our site.

You should also care about brand and have a point of view on how Abode should look, sound, and show up. There's room for this role to grow into broader brand leadership, and the immediate job is hands-on social and content.

What You’ll Do

• Own Our Socials: Set the strategy for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, then make short-form video from idea and script through filming, editing, and publishing.

• Learn What Works: Track performance, test new formats and topics, and use what you learn to make the next round better.

• Create Useful Website Content: Write and edit homeowner guides, state and county content, and research stories from SEO briefs.

• Bring Our Research to Life: Turn county research and PR coverage into clear stories, videos, and visuals homeowners want to share, while the news is still fresh.

• Run Creators, Mailers, and Community: Manage creator and UGC partners, develop mailer copy and creative, and use homeowner questions to shape what we make next.

Who You Are

• In Austin or willing to relocate. We work in person 4 days a week.

• Have built a consumer brand's social presence hands-on at a startup, ideally in fintech, insurance, or home

• Can show videos you made yourself, explain your role, and tell us what worked and what didn't

• Can take a short-form video from idea through filming, editing, and publishing, and adapt it for each platform

• Can turn a research or SEO brief into clear, useful content and make complicated topics approachable without losing accuracy

• Care about brand and know how to prioritize, going deep on what matters before spreading across every channel

Compensation

$140,000 - $175,000 base, plus equity
