Job summary

i9 Sports - Puget Sound, WA is hiring for the Fall season at Valley Ridge Park. The Instructor/Official enforces rules, coaches on-field, and helps create a fun, safe environment for kids ages 4-14 during Saturday sessions.

This role emphasizes sportsmanship, positive customer service, and the ability to lead, motivate, and manage time and score. The position runs 9/19–10/24 with weekly commitments and requires reliable transportation and a background check.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication across email, text, verbal, and written formats.
• Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and solve problems.
• Aware and able to take charge to ensure player safety.
• Positive attitude and ability to build professional relationships.
• Available for the full 6-week season.
• Must pass National Criminal Background Check.
• Reliable transportation and dependability (no callouts).

Job Summary

The Instructor/Official is a critical role on any sports field; responsible for enforcing rules while also cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-field coach, and advocating for the programs. This role has a direct impact on players, coaches, and spectators each and every game day.
We are currently hiring for the Fall season at the following location:

• Valley Ridge Park (Saturday mornings): 9/19-10/24

Responsibilities

• Understand & enforce the i9 Sports rules books ensuring a fun, learning, and safety for all players


• Teach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values


• Keep time and score during the game; manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition


• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (Email, text, verbal, written)


• Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience


• Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems


• Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players


• Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships


• Ability to work for the full duration of the 6-week season


• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check


• Must have reliable transportation and be dependable. We do not tolerate callouts.
