Job summary

i9 Sports Corporation is hiring a Basketball Instructor/Official for Evergreen Middle School in Redmond, WA. This on-field role enforces rules, coaches players, and promotes a positive program culture during Saturday sessions for the Fall season (10/31–12/12, excluding Thanksgiving weekend).

You will study and enforce i9 Sports rules, lead age-appropriate drills, manage game timing and scoring, and provide outstanding customer service to players, families, and coaches throughout the six-week

Qualifications

• Excellent communication across email, text, and verbal.
• Sports officiating, playing, or coaching experience required.
• Enthusiasm, strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to maintain situational awareness and attention to detail.
• Must pass a National Criminal Background Check.
• Punctuality and dependable transportation are essential.

Responsibilities

• Study and enforce i9 Sports rules and safety for all players.
• Instruct players during practice using age-appropriate practice plans developed by i9 Sports.

Job Summary

The Basketball Instructor/Official is a critical role on any field; responsible for enforcing rules while also cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-field coach, and advocating for the programs. This role has a direct impact on players, coaches, and spectators each and every game day.
We are currently hiring for our Fall season at the following venue:

• Evergreen Middle School in Redmond (Saturday mornings & early afternoons): 10/31 to 12/12, except Thanksgiving Day weekend

Responsibilities

• Study and enforce i9 Sports rules and safety for all players. Stripes and whistle provided by employee.
• Instruct players during practice using age-appropriate practice plans developed by i9 Sports.
• Keep time and score during the game; manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition.
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (Email, text, verbal, written). Responsiveness is critical.
• Sports officiating, playing or coaching experience is a must.
• Enthusiasm, strong work ethic and trustworthiness.
• Situational awareness, attention to detail and critical thinking.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as a team.
• Commit to working for the full duration of the 6-week season.
• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
• Must have reliable transportation and be dependable. We do not tolerate callouts.
