Job summary

i9 Sports seeks an Instructor for the fall season at Valley Ridge Park in Seattle. You will act as an on-field coach, enforce rules, and cultivate a positive, fun environment for kids ages 4-14 across flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and baseball.

The role emphasizes safety, sportsmanship, and clear communication with players and parents during Saturday sessions and matches.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication with players, parents, and staff.
• Experience in sports officiating, coaching, or playing at youth level.
• Ability to work independently and enforce safety rules during games.

Responsibilities

• Enforce i9 Sports rules to ensure fun, learning, and safety for all players.
• Teach and demonstrate core concepts including sportsmanship values.
• Timekeeping and score management; adjust instruction to age level.
• Maintain a positive attitude and deliver high-quality customer service.

Job Summary

The Instructor is a critical role on any sports field; responsible for enforcing rules while also cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-field coach, and advocating for the programs. This role has a direct impact on players, coaches, and spectators each and every game day.

We are currently hiring for the Fall season at the following location:

• Valley Ridge Park (Saturday mornings): 9/19-10/24

Responsibilities

• Understand & enforce the i9 Sports rules books ensuring a fun, learning, and safety for all players
• Teach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values
• Keep time and score during the game; manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (Email, text, verbal, written)
• Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience
• Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
• Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
• Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
• Ability to work for the full duration of the 6-week season
• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check
• Must have reliable transportation and be dependable. We do not tolerate callouts.
