Job summary

i9 Sports seeks an Instructor / Coach for the Fall season at McMicken Heights Elementary School, Saturdays 9/19-10/24 for ages 4-10. You will enforce rules, coach players, and model sportsmanship, impacting players, families, and spectators during every game day.

Responsibilities include keeping time and score, delivering age-appropriate instruction, and maintaining a positive attitude with strong customer service to enhance the overall experience for participants and parents.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills across email, text, and in person.
• Experience officiating, playing, or coaching youth sports.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on the field.
• Strong focus on safety and protecting players.
• Positive, professional relationship building with families.
• Ability to commit to the full 6-week season.
• Reliable transportation to and from multiple locations.

Job Summary

The Instructor / Coach is a critical role on any sports field; responsible for enforcing rules while also cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-field coach, and advocating for the programs. This role has a direct impact on players, coaches, and spectators each and every game day.

We are currently hiring for the Fall season at the following location:

• McMicken Heights Elementary School (Saturday mornings; ages 4-10): 9/19-10/24

Responsibilities

• Understand & enforce the i9 Sports rules books ensuring a fun, learning, and safety for all players
• Teach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values
• Keep time and score during the game; manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (Email, text, verbal, written)
• Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience
• Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
• Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
• Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
• Ability to work for the full duration of the 6-week season
• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check
• Must have reliable transportation and be dependable. We do not tolerate callouts.
