Job summary

ShorePoint is seeking a Tier 2 Analyst to support enterprise SOC operations by reviewing and responding to escalated tickets from Tier 1. The role applies working knowledge of cybersecurity to improve incident detection, analyze threat intelligence and support both classified and unclassified environments.

The Tier 2 Analyst will work under limited supervision, applying technical expertise to moderately complex problems and helping shape the growth of ShorePoint in the cybersecurity market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable tasks.

Responsibilities

• Review and respond to tickets escalated from Tier 1 analysts.
• Analyze cyber threat intelligence to support detection and response.
• Support incident detection and analysis across unclassified and classified environments.
• Investigate alerts and escalate to Tier 3 when necessary.
• Apply technical knowledge to resolve problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Document findings and contribute to incident reports.
• Collaborate with peers to improve detection workflows and escalation processes.
• Support continuous improvement of SOC processes and procedures.
