Job summary

Aretec, Inc. is seeking a Tier 2 Analyst to support enterprise SOC operations across unclassified and classified environments. You will review escalated tickets from Tier 1, analyze cyber threat intelligence, and contribute to incident detection, analysis, and reporting.

This remote role requires a Secret clearance and 3+ years of experience in security operations. You will work under limited supervision, collaborate with teammates, and help improve detection workflows and escalation processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in security operations.
• Active Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Review and respond to tickets escalated from Tier 1.
• Analyze and apply cyber threat intelligence to support detection and response.
• Support incident detection and analysis across unclassified and classified environments.
• Investigate alerts and anomalies, escalating to Tier 3 when necessary.
• Apply technical knowledge to resolve problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Document findings and contribute to incident reports.
• Collaborate with peers to improve detection workflows and escalation processes.
• Support continuous improvement of SOC processes and procedures.
