Job summary

ShorePoint is seeking a SOC Analyst Tier 1 to support enterprise SOC operations in Washington, DC. This entry-level role reviews, triages and investigates alerts under supervision, contributing to incident detection and documentation.

The position requires a Bachelor’s or equivalent experience, a Secret clearance, and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic cybersecurity environment with opportunities for certifications and career development.

This role reviews, triages and investigates alerts under direct supervision, contributing to improved incident detection. The SOC Analyst Tier 1 position is designed for individuals starting their cybersecurity careers, requiring foundational knowledge and the ability to apply basic technical principles. • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience working in a 24/7 SOC environment.
• Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into clear, actionable tasks and processes through critical thinking.
• Applicants must hold and maintain an active Secret clearance.
