Job summary

ATOM CYBER SECURITY LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Security Analyst to join our Security Operations Center. You will monitor, detect, prevent, and respond to threats while supporting business operations, serving as the first line of defense for the organization’s systems and data.

You will work on security monitoring, incident response, and defense tasks, including tuning rules, maintaining backups, and collaborating with teammates to resolve client issues. 50% travel is possible.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent) or 1–2 years of IT/cybersecurity or SOC experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security tools and platforms for alerts and suspicious activity.
• Analyze logs and network traffic to identify threats or anomalies.
• Validate and categorize alerts by severity, urgency, and relevance.
• Support disaster recovery by monitoring backups and health of systems.
• Assist in tuning detection rules to improve monitoring capabilities.
• Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for continuity.
• Participate in security tool configuration, patching, and incident response activities.
• This is an in-office role with up to 50% travel.
