Job summary

American Technology Services is seeking a Senior Threat Detection Analyst to join our SOC team. You will monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents across the organization’s IT infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a 7+ year background in security operations, strong analytical and communication skills, and a willingness to work 24/7 shifts, including nights and weekends. Certification in Security+ or CSA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CSA are a plus.
• 7+ years of work experience in a SOC or related cybersecurity role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and other tools.
• Perform log analysis and network traffic review to detect threats.
• Escalate critical incidents to senior SOC analysts per protocol.
• Document incidents and actions for audit and reporting purposes.
• Engage in ongoing training to enhance cybersecurity knowledge.
