Job summary

Amazon is seeking a SoC Power Engineer to join the MLA team focusing on Inferentia and Trainium SoCs. You will model power from RTL to final netlist and drive power-reduction strategies across design phases.

Responsibilities include full-chip power analysis, dashboards for power rollups, and collaboration with architects, designers, verification, and PD teams to generate vectors for IR, thermal, and power estimation. Experience with PrimePower/PowerArtist and SystemVerilog is valued.

Qualifications

• BS in EE/CS or related field with relevant power-analysis background.
• Experience with power analysis tools and IPC/IR power modeling.
• Ability to communicate RTL feedback to design teams.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for full chip power analysis & modelling from RTL to gate-level netlist.
• Develop and maintain dashboards for power rollups.
• Collaborate with designers, architects, verification and PD teams to develop vectors for IR, thermal and power estimation.
• Provide feedback to designers on power reduction opportunities.
• Make power measurements in the lab and correlate with simulations.
• Work with Emulation teams to model chip-level power consumption.
