Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator for a corporate building in Midtown Manhattan. The role requires 1+ year of SOC experience, full-time hours, and working weekends with early-morning shifts.

The position monitors all security, communications and fire/life safety systems and coordinates with multiple departments. Responsibilities include documenting events, logging equipment usage, and handling maintenance work orders, while ensuring precise communications

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• Candidates may meet qualifications via military security experience or civilian credentials.
• 2+ years of related security or dispatch experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security, CCTV and life safety systems within the designated region.
• Respond to events and emergencies with clear direction to staff.
• Serve as liaison between departments and security teams.
• Document routine and unusual events through shift reports and logs.
• Maintain control of equipment and keys in the Control Room and log sign-outs.
• Complete task work orders for maintenance needs and report issues promptly.
• Inform supervisors of missing or damaged equipment and system issues.
