Job summary

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator in Illinois. The role operates twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week, monitoring security, CCTV and life safety systems across the designated region.

You will document events and manage access within the Control Room. The position requires a high school diploma, relevant security experience, and the ability to type 40 WPM with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Licensing requirements may apply locally
• Military/security background or related certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor security, communications and fire/life safety systems across the designated region
• Proactively monitor CCTV and alarm systems and respond to alerts
• Communicate clearly during emergencies and provide guidance to staff
• Serve as liaison between departments and security
• Document routine and unusual events accurately
• Manage equipment and keys in the Control Room and log sign-outs
• Complete task work orders for maintenance needs
• Inform supervisors of missing/damaged/operational equipment
• Oversee two-way communications systems
• Make emergency notifications as required
• Suggest productivity and cost-reduction improvements
• Contribute to physical security surveys and post orders

2 years of public sector dispatch or emergency operations center
