Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator for a Corporate Building in Midtown, Manhattan. The role runs 24/7 with a focus on monitoring security, fire/life safety systems, and coordinating with security teams.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement/security or related role, or CPSA graduate, or degrees in protective services.
• 2 years of work experience in public sector dispatch or emergency operations center; 2 years of verifiable data center security experience; 3 years of verifiable private/corporate security experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor designated region's security, communications, and fire/life safety systems via monitoring systems.
• Proactively monitor surveillance cameras and CCTV; respond to alarms.
• Answer events over regular and emergency lines; provide guidance during emergencies.
• Serve as liaison between security departments and other teams.
• Document routine and unusual events via shift reports and logs.
• Maintain control of equipment and keys in the Control Room; log sign-outs.
• Complete task work orders for maintenance needs.
• Inform supervisors of missing/damaged/inaoperative equipment promptly.
• Handle communications and post orders; coordinate with Shift Supervisor and Account Manager.
