Job summary

CyberMaxx, Inc. is seeking a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to monitor and analyze security alerts across diverse tools, coordinate investigations, and help protect clients from adversaries.

You will classify incidents, escalate when needed, and document work in the ticketing system. Ideal candidates will work a rotating schedule in a 24/7 environment, hold a related bachelor’s degree, and pursue certifications such as Sec+ or CySA+.

• Monitor and analyze security alerts and events across tools.
• Coordinate investigations with users and admins of various roles.
• Escalate tickets and classify incidents following established criteria.
• Document work details clearly in the ticketing system.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from various security tools and systems.
• Coordinate over multiple mediums with users and administrators of various roles during incident investigations.
• Collect and analyze raw events and alerts and construct timelines.
• Provide feedback to improve detection capabilities and escalate when needed.
• Classify and prioritize incidents based on established criteria.
• Maintain familiarity with products in use and related technologies.
• Attend and contribute to regular team meetings.
• Keep up with industry best practices and share findings.
