Job summary

Blackpoint Cyber is seeking an experienced SOC Analyst to join our 24x7x365 Security Operations Center. You will analyze and triage anomalous events, collaborate with MDR Analysts, and produce incident analysis reports for diverse customers.

Qualifications include 5+ years in information security, strong Windows security knowledge, and proficiency in scripting. The role supports design of SOC processes and lab-based threat research in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in information security in a SOC environment.
• Experience triaging endpoint events from EDR/NGAV.
• Strong knowledge of Windows security concepts and artifacts.
• Experience with Linux or OSX environments is a plus.
• Proficient in scripting and automation for security workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate anomalous network and system events in a 24x7x365 SOC environment via lead-less threat hunting.
• Collaborate with MDR Analysts to research and investigate emerging cyber threats; escalate as needed.
• Develop Incident analysis reports and coordinate with business units and customers to close issues.
• Help design and build operational processes and procedures to improve SOC efficiency.
• Provide actionable threat and vulnerability analysis across multiple customer environments.
• Build test lab environments to research emerging techniques and contribute to knowledge development.
• Review sandbox technologies for IOCs uncovered during analysis.
