Job summary

Boston Government Services, LLC (BGS) is seeking qualified candidates for a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst role to support clients across the United States. This evergreen pool collects professionals skilled in alert triage, incident handling, and coordination within government security environments.

Ideal candidates bring experience with SIEM/EDR and a strong ability to document, report, and escalate incidents per SOPs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in SOC operations, incident triage, monitoring, or cyber operations.
• Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint alerts, cloud alerts, ticketing tools, and case management processes.
• Ability to follow SOPs, maintain accurate records, and elevate time-sensitive security matters.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Successful drug screening.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security tools, dashboards, logs, alerts, and event queues for potential incidents.
• Conduct initial triage and classification of alerts and events.
• Create, manage, and update incident cases in approved Government ticketing systems.
• Escalate events requiring Tier 2-3 investigation or stakeholder action.
• Support collection of relevant logs, screenshots, alerts, indicators, and case notes.
• Identify trends in alerts and operational gaps.
• Follow approved SOPs for incident detection, triage, reporting, and escalation.
