Job summary

Boston Government Services, LLC (BGS) seeks a Senior Tier II-III Incident Response Analyst to support federal clients nationwide. This evergreen talent pool post gathers qualified candidates for high-impact investigations, forensics, threat hunting, malware analysis, and coordinated response.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and senior incident response experience, with the ability to lead investigations and brief stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Senior-level experience in incident response, forensics, threat hunting, malware analysis, security operations, or cyber threat intelligence.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, forensic tools, packet analysis, malware analysis tooling, threat intelligence platforms, IDS/IPS, and case management systems.
• Knowledge of federal incident response reporting requirements, NIST SP 800-86, and structured evidence handling procedures.
• Ability to lead technical investigations and brief technical/non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Successful drug screening.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced incident investigations and escalation of security events.
• Conduct deep-dive forensic analysis and malware analysis.
• Coordinate response actions for identified threats and anomalies.
• Perform APT hunting, IOC development, and CTI dissemination.
• Support evidence handling, chain-of-custody, and data preservation.
• Provide QA on incident closure and after-action reporting.
• Support SOC engineering with monitoring gaps and control improvements.
