Job summary

Middlebury College Ski Areas are seeking a part-time employee to operate snow making equipment and support mountain operations with friendly, professional customer service.

The position is hourly, non-benefits eligible, starting at $21.05 per hour with raises for returning seasons; some night/weekend shifts may receive a differential. Work includes lifting and outdoor winter conditions, with opportunities to assist Snow Bowl and Rikert operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No specific experience required.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills beneficial.
• Basic First Aid is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow making equipment during the ski season.
• Support base lodge operations, lift operations, snow removal, event setup and cleanup, truck loading/unloading, and trash/debris removal.
• Report safety hazards or violations to supervisor.
• Communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
• Perform duties as assigned to support department mission.
• Provide race and event support.
• Perform trail maintenance, snow shoveling, firewood collection, parking lot attendant duties, garbage collection, and transportation as directed.
• Assist with search and rescue within ski area boundaries.
