Job summary

Middlebury College ski areas are seeking a part-time, non-benefits eligible employee to support operations across the mountain. The starting wage is $18.90 per hour, with wage increases for each returning ski season.

Some hours may include shift differentials for nights and weekends. Key duties include base lodge and lift operations, snow removal, event setup, trail maintenance, search and rescue support, and general safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No specific experience required.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills is beneficial.
• Basic First Aid is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supports base lodge operations, lift operations, snow removal, event setup and cleanup, truck loading and unloading, and trash/debris removal.
• Performs work assignments according to established procedures, practices, and policies.
• Reports safety hazards or violations to supervisor.
• Communicates effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support department mission.
• Provides race and event support.
• Performs trail maintenance, snow shoveling, firewood collection, parking lot attendant duties.
• Assists with search and rescue within ski area boundaries.
