Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Snowflake Center of Excellence data engineer in the Phoenix area to design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake and cloud technologies. You will build scalable pipelines, transformations, and data models while collaborating with Agile teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

The role requires 5+ years of data engineering experience, strong SQL and data modeling, and experience with Python, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience including hands-on Snowflake development.
• Strong SQL and data modeling experience.
• Experience developing batch and/or streaming data pipelines.
• Experience with Python or another object-oriented language.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, or Dagster.
• Experience supporting analytics and reporting solutions using Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong client-facing consulting skills.
• SnowPro Core Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake and related cloud technologies.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and scalable data models.
• Work within Agile delivery teams to implement client data platform solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop solutions using SQL, Python, and modern data engineering tools.
• Support data quality, performance tuning, and platform optimization initiatives.
• Contribute to the Snowflake CoE through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
