Job summary

Mountain-Capital-Partners at Snowbowl is seeking a Groomer to operate heavy trail grooming equipment at night, preparing ski trails for guests and maintaining a safe mountain environment.

The role requires intermediate skiing ability, physical fitness to lift up to 50 lbs, night work in cold conditions, good judgment and teamwork, and a valid US driver’s license; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Job description

Purpose of the position(FT or PT, Winter Seasonal Position) The Groomer will operate heavy trail grooming equipment at night, to prepare ski trails and provide an enjoyable and safe mountain environment for Snowbowl guests.Essential Functions:Operate heavy trail grooming equipment at night, to prepare ski trails for the skiing public.Perform quality grooming without being abusive to Snowbowl property, grooming vehicles, snowmaking infrastructure, chair lift towers and buildings.Perform quality grooming without being destructive to the forest and environment.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Solid knowledge of equipment operation. Basic knowledge of Snowbowl terrain and mountain geography.Must be at least an intermediate skier/rider.Alertness, precision, memory, concentration, judgment, ingenuity, problem solving, spatial perception, reasoning, initiative, patience, and verbal and written communication skills are necessary abilities.Must be in good physical shape.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to work night shiftMust be able to work outside in adverse weather conditions on uneven and slick terrain.Ability to see at nightMust have a valid US Driver's license.High School diploma or equivalent.Works well with others as teamGood communication skills
