Job summary

Aspen Skiing Company is seeking a Snowcat Operator Basic to safely operate a snowcat, create quality snow surfaces, and support daily mountain operations and events. This position reports to the Trails Director.

This seasonal, full-time role requires 18+, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license. You will groom terrain, work at night in varying conditions, and follow safety policies with team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
• Valid, current, unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Groom terrain for skiing and riding.
• Maintain grooming standards and fix crooked lines or turn marks.
• Work at night on uneven terrain and in adverse weather conditions.
• Perform general maintenance on the snowcats and report issues to mechanics.
• Must pass ASC and Colorado snowmobile test as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
