Job summary

BrightView is seeking a Snow Equipment Operator in Plymouth, MN to join our winter maintenance crew. You will learn to handle multiple snow removal tasks and operate a range of heavy equipment, keeping sites clear and safe.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Reliable transportation to and from any work site.
• Prior experience operating snowplow equipment and heavy equipment for snow removal.
• Able to work ON-CALL and Overnight in the winter months.
• Participation in routine maintenance of equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions with sporadic hours during snow events.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb in/out of equipment.
• Ability to sit for long periods and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Removing snow using heavy equipment for several hours at a time during snowfall.
• Be available each time it snows and report to the site or central location.
• Remove snow in appropriate locations, avoiding trees, hydrants, or sidewalks.
• Report concerns or incidents to your supervisor.
• Fill out a job sheet after each snow removal operation.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment by following safety policies.
• Report safety issues to the supervisor.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.
