Job summary

Wasatch Peaks Ranch in Morgan, UT seeks Snow Cat Operators at I, II, and III levels to groom and maintain resort snow surfaces. Responsibilities include operating snow cats, communication with mountain operations, and adherence to safety plans through varying weather conditions.

Qualifications include a valid driver’s license, ability to work nights outdoors, and experience with heavy equipment or grooming operations is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to sit for an entire shift: 8 to 10 hours.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must have ability to work both as a team and independently.
• Hand eye coordination, ability to listen and follow direction.
• Work safely near heavy equipment, high voltage, and high-water pressures.
• Ski or snowboard abilities preferred.
• Background in farming or heavy equipment is a plus.
• Must be able to work nights in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct self in a manner that sets an example for employees in all professional and moral responsibilities while at work.
• Provide constant communication with all necessary departments and attending any required meetings.
• Doze, pack, and grade trails, base area, and lift ramps.
• Skid, and doze ski runs, and all snow surfaces, and mountain roads.
• Operate snow cat under the direction of shift supervisor.
• Adhere to snow removal, snow storage & grooming plan.
• Complete assigned tasks/projects in a safe and timely manner with a high level of quality.
• Complete pre and post shift vehicle inspection.
• Responsible for documenting and reporting issues to vehicle maintenance.
• Keep vehicle clean and clutter free.
• Report safety problems to supervisor.
• Keep departments safe by adhering to guidelines and setting safety policy.
