Boston Medical Center (BMC) is recruiting a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Neuro Science Intensive Care Unit (SNICU). The role offers a 36-hour schedule with nights and rotating weekends, in a Magnet®-recognized organization focused on exceptional and equitable care.

As an RN in the Critical Care unit, you will deliver patient-centered care within a supportive nursing organization, participate in quality improvement, and help advance professional practice in a fast-paced, mission-driven

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN license active or eligible to obtain.
• 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification required in certain units.
• Nursing degree (Diploma/ASN/BSN) with BSN planned within 4 years.
• Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty certifications as required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Fluency in another language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and their families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.
