Job summary

The State of South Carolina Department of Social Services is seeking an ES Eligibility Specialist (CNTY) to support Economic Services in Georgetown County. The role involves conducting quality interviews, determining eligibility for SNAP, TANF, ESAP and SCCAP, and maintaining confidential case records.

This position requires a High School Diploma and at least one year in Economic Services; a Bachelor's degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in Economic Services programs.
• Bachelor's Degree may substitute one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides SNAP/TANF/ESAP/SCCAP services per laws and agency policies.
• Conducts at least 15 quality interviews daily (phone or in person).
• Processes applications and renewals; determines eligibility and issues benefits.
• Maintains case records in agency systems; documents participation and events.
• Identifies overpayments; prepares documentation for hearings.
• Participates in required trainings and meetings; protects PII and agency data.
• Performs emergency shelter duties and other duties as directed.
