Job summary

South Carolina Department of Social Services seeks an ES Eligibility Case Manager to administer SNAP and TANF for Economic Services. You will conduct interviews, determine eligibility, and process renewals to help stabilize families in Marlboro County.

The role requires strong data documentation, attention to confidentiality, and ability to perform shelter duties as needed. A high school diploma with experience or higher degrees qualify you for this position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and three years of relevant experience.
• An Associate Degree and one year of relevant experience.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher may be substituted for relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer SNAP and TANF for Economic Services to help stabilize families.
• Conduct SNAP/TANF quality interviews (phone and face-to-face).
• Process SNAP/TANF applications and renewals by determining eligibility and authorizing benefits.
• Manage ABAWD caseload and tracking; determine SNAP eligibility for assigned cases.
• Process system alerts for SNAP, TANF, ESAP, SCCAP for residence and caseload.
• Identify and document overpayments; prepare Fair Hearing documents.
• Maintain case records in agency systems and document work participation activities.
• Perform Red Cross shelter or other emergency shelter duties as directed.
• Protect personal identifying information (PII) and safeguard systems and data.
