Job summary

The State of Colorado's SNAP Hearings Unit seeks a seasoned administrative law professional to preside over SNAP appeals and fair hearings, issue Initial Decisions with findings of fact and law, and supervise two Hearings Officers II and an Administrative Assistant II. The role requires strong due process knowledge and leadership.

Qualifications

• Nine (9) years presiding over administrative hearings or legal adjudication.
• Experience interpreting complex state and federal regulations and drafting administrative decisions.
• Minimum of 1 year providing supervisory or lead direction.

Responsibilities

• Receiving testimony and evidence.
• Resolving evidentiary issues and ruling on motions.
• Issuing procedural orders and Initial Decisions with Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law.
• Supervising two Hearings Officers II and one Administrative Assistant II and ensuring high-quality work.
