Job summary

Douglas County seeks an Eligibility Supervisor to lead a team of Eligibility Case Managers and Clerks responsible for determining initial and ongoing eligibility for SNAP, Medicaid, LTC, OAP, AND, TANF, and related programs across Castle Rock, Lone Tree, and Highlands Ranch in Colorado.

The role demands strong coaching, scheduling, and performance oversight to ensure accurate, timely benefits determinations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED is required.
• 4 years of experience determining eligibility for SNAP, Medicaid, LTC, TANF, OAP, AND, or similar programs is required.
• Experience using CBMS is required.
• Previous leadwork or supervisory experience preferred.
• A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team to ensure efficient, accurate case processing and exceptional customer service.
• Provide coaching, support, and training to staff in-person and virtually.
• Monitor workload distribution, performance metrics, timeliness, and quality assurance.
• Review and approve eligibility determinations to ensure compliance with program rules.
• Oversee staff performance and take timely corrective action, including evaluations and discipline.
• Support staff in developing problem-solving skills and adapting to changes.
• Facilitate team meetings, training sessions, and individual check-ins.
• Represent the County in client administrative appeals and ensure regulatory compliance.
