Qualifications

• Completion of 30 semester credits at an accredited college or university.
• A four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in one or more of the areas listed.
• A satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Determine and verify initial and on-going eligibility for SNAP benefits through interviews.
• Instruct and advise applicants on proper procedures and forms to utilize.
• Compute and determine the amount of financial assistance for SNAP benefits by reviewing and verifying data.
• Receive and review documents submitted by applicants to ensure compliance with agency guidelines.
• Recommend changes by reviewing payment data to ensure eligibility requirements are met.
• Prepare eligibility forms through data verification to initiate appropriate service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
