Job summary

Murrelektronik North America is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to establish and optimize our SMT/PCBA operations in Suwanee, Georgia. You will lead NPI, develop and validate manufacturing processes, and program production equipment to meet quality and throughput targets.

You will collaborate with Design Engineering, Quality, and Production to ensure successful product launches and continuous improvement. A hands-on role with impactful visibility in electronics manufacturing.

Qualifications

3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in SMT/PCBA environments.
Experience supporting New Product Introductions (NPI).
Hands-on programming and troubleshooting of SMT equipment.
Strong understanding of PCB assembly processes and reflow profiling.
Experience reading engineering drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

Lead manufacturing activities for new PCBAs from prototype to production.
Develop and validate SMT processes including paste printing, pick-and-place, reflow, and AOI.
Program and optimize SMT equipment to improve quality and throughput.
Provide DFM feedback to Design Engineering for successful launches.
Create manufacturing documentation and standard processes.
Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support line startup, equipment qualification, and process validation.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production.
