Job summary

MKS is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer in the United States to partner with NPI and Engineering to develop and implement manufacturing processes for electromechanical parts and assemblies. You will transition products from design to production, support daily production, and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• BS (EE/ME/IE) with 5+ years hands-on experience in mechanical or electromechanical systems.
• Experience PCBA, Quality, Reliability, Manufacturing, Cable/Harness, and Magnetics.
• Written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience introducing new products from a prototype to a production environment.
• Collaboration skills with a passion for manufacturing and operations.
• Ability to train and mentor production personnel.

Responsibilities

• Transition designs from Design to LCC Manufacturing centers and represent Technical Operations in product development.
• Partner with design engineering and facilitate supplier value engineering in DFX.
• Define and establish manufacturing methods, processes, and tools for new and existing products.
• Review designs of PCBA’s, cables, metal, and magnetics for manufacturability.
• Design and procure assembly tools and fixtures; create and maintain process instructions.
• Structure BOMs and routings with labor standards; coordinate product transfers to manufacturing.
• Support daily production demand and travel up to 20%.
