Job summary

Celestica Inc. in Maple Grove, MN seeks an experienced SMT Operator 2 to support surface mount production. The role involves aligning solder paste stencils, loading components, verifying positioning, and following engineering process docs to ensure quality joints.

Responsibilities include monitoring inventory, performing periodic PMs, learning machine parameters, and assisting engineers with NP I product setups. Strong reading of blueprints and IPC/J-STD knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent, plus one year similar manufacturing experience.
• Experience following process/program documentation for lead/lead-free solder assemblies.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow IPC/J-STD requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and aligns solder paste stencils and applies solder paste for even screen prints.
• Replenishes SMT components in pick and place machines and verifies positioning.
• Follow process documentation to ensure correct programs and revisions are used.
• Monitor floor stock inventory and inform supervisor when low or expired.
• Perform periodic machine PMs and assist in setup of NPI products.
• Periodically hand-solder and perform quality checks with a scope.
