Job summary

Celestica Maple Grove is seeking a Production Technical Operator 3 for the second shift. You will perform hand soldering, setup wave soldering, and verify routings and prints to ensure quality products are produced on schedule.

You will review prints, prepare wires and assemblies, and operate scopes to inspect solder joints. This role requires reading blueprints, following PMs, and possibly training in surface mount tasks.

Qualifications

• Able to fabricate and inspect to J STD 001 and IPC-610.
• Experience reading blueprints and working with scopes in a manufacturing setting.
• Solder experience in manufacturing setting including hand soldering and related machine soldering.
• Will be required to pass J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 Certification to be qualified to perform the job duties.

Responsibilities

• Set up wave solder equipment: wave height, width and conveyor speed.
• Select flux, add flux, clean equipment, and follow PM schedules.
• Review routings against prints to ensure consistency and correct programs/revisions.
• Perform periodic hand soldering and inspect solder joints with a scope.
• Monitor floor stock such as solder paste and flux and inform supervisor when low.
