Job summary

Unigen in Newark, CA is seeking a Temporary SMT Feeder Set-Up Operator to support the SMT production line by setting up feeders, preparing the line, and handling equipment in a fast-paced EMS environment. The role requires at least 1 year of electronics manufacturing experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent, with the ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and visual aids.

Familiarity with SMT processes and ESD practices is a plus, and strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

Set up and prepare SMT feeders by loading components and adjusting feeder settings.
Verify work order documentation, tooling, and components prior to loading.
Review production schedule dashboard by date and line; confirm MPI availability.
Inspect work against predefined standards and escalate issues to supervisors.
Execute instructions from Production Supervisor.
Follow work instructions and documentation to complete tasks accurately.
Identify and escalate production or quality issues in a timely manner.
Maintain compliance with ESD handling procedures and safety requirements.
