Job summary

Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA seeks an SMT Field Service Engineer to support customers from Midwest to Northeast across the United States and internationally. You will install, maintain, and repair Yamaha SMT equipment at customer facilities and coordinate with engineering for product improvements.

You will handle software installation, LAN connectivity, barcode systems, and programming support while developing component libraries.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two-year technical degree in Electronics, Electromechanical Systems, or related field preferred; 5 years SMT experience may substitute.
• 3+ years of SMT experience with hands-on programming and operation of pick-and-place equipment.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills; ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide field service support via phone, email, and onsite for YMUS Robotics customers and distributors.
• Install, warranty service, repairs, and preventative maintenance on SMT equipment.
• Communicate with factory engineering to improve products and address recurring issues.
• Document issues clearly and track resolutions; assist with training materials.
