Job summary

Fuji America is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot Fuji SMT automation equipment across North America. You will deliver preventive maintenance, train customer personnel, and provide on-site and remote support, ensuring minimal downtime.

The role requires strong mechanical/electrical diagnostics, experience with SMT equipment, and the ability to travel up to 75% with a valid driver’s license. Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education, military training or relevant experience.
Experience with SMT equipment strongly preferred or similar automation machinery.
Strong background in mechanical and electrical diagnostics, repair, and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and startup Fuji SMT systems on-site across North America.
Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, software, and process-related issues.
Provide advanced technical support both onsite and remotely, ensuring minimal customer downtime.
Collaborate with Fuji’s technical teams to elevate and resolve advanced engineering issues.
Deliver structured operator and maintenance training for customer personnel.
Advise customers on best practices for process optimization, preventive maintenance, and system efficiency.
