Job summary

Fuji America is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot Fuji SMT automation equipment across North America. You will deliver preventive maintenance, train customer personnel, and provide on-site and remote support, ensuring minimal downtime.

The role requires strong mechanical/electrical diagnostics, experience with SMT equipment, and the ability to travel up to 75% with a valid driver’s license. Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education, military training or relevant experience.
• Experience with SMT equipment strongly preferred or similar automation machinery.
• Strong background in mechanical and electrical diagnostics, repair, and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and startup Fuji SMT systems on-site across North America.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, software, and process-related issues.
• Provide advanced technical support both onsite and remotely, ensuring minimal customer downtime.
• Collaborate with Fuji’s technical teams to elevate and resolve advanced engineering issues.
• Deliver structured operator and maintenance training for customer personnel.
• Advise customers on best practices for process optimization, preventive maintenance, and system efficiency.
