Etched in San Jose is seeking an Equipment Technician to maintain and troubleshoot SMT production equipment. You will actively support uptime, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency by performing preventive maintenance, calibrations, and routine line checks.

You will work closely with Production, Process Engineering, and Quality to resolve equipment issues, support changeovers, and ensure safe, reliable production.

Formación

• Hands-on experience maintaining or troubleshooting SMT equipment or comparable automated manufacturing equipment.
• Working knowledge of SMT assembly processes and common production defects.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings and use diagnostic tools.
• Strong attention to detail, including documenting work and prioritizing production support.
• Good communication and ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain SMT equipment: printers, SPI, pick-and-place, reflow ovens, AOI, conveyors, and board handling systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and sensor faults; document root causes and corrective actions.
• Maintain feeders, nozzles, tooling, wear components; perform checks, adjustments, calibration; keep service records.
• Support production setup and changeovers: line setup, first-piece verification, and new product introductions.
• Monitor printing, placement, and reflow performance to identify drift and defects; implement corrective actions.
• Train operators on routine equipment care, troubleshooting, and setup practices; communicate status across shifts.
• Maintain ESD and safety compliance; uphold lockout/tagout and housekeeping standards.
