Job summary

Johnson Service Group, Inc. in San Jose seeks an SMT Operator to operate and maintain SMT equipment for circuit board assembly. You will set up pick-and-place machines, stencil printers, labeling machines, and reflow ovens, perform manual placement and inspections, and follow MPI and quality standards in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, troubleshooting, training support, and collaboration with Production and Engineering to ensure efficient operations across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• SMT/electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic math, measurement, and problem solving.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Flexible to work different shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate SMT pick-and-place machines.
• Operate stencil printers, labeling machines, and reflow ovens.
• Perform manual component placement and circuit board inspections.
• Read and follow Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI) and quality procedures.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and assist with troubleshooting.
• Assist with machine setup, training, and operator support.
• Work with Production and Engineering to maintain efficient operations.
• Assist other departments and perform other duties as assigned.
