Job summary

York Employment Services is seeking a detail-oriented SMT Operator to join our electronics manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting surface mount technology (SMT) equipment used in the production of electronic circuits and assemblies.

You will perform setup, operation, and changeover of SMT equipment, conduct visual quality inspections, update production records, and support 6S and continuous improvement initiatives in a

Responsibilities

Operate SMT equipment and monitor production processes.
Verify PCB identification, program name, solder paste, conveyor width, and ensure proper mistake-proofing.
Perform setup, operation, and changeover of SMT equipment and processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with SMT machines and related equipment.
Install and repair electronic components such as resistors and capacitors.
Conduct visual inspections of SMT assemblies for quality and accuracy.
Maintain accurate production and job tracking records.
Interpret and follow manufacturing instructions and work orders.
Perform hands-on problem-solving and assist with the preparation of work instructions.
Carry out preventive maintenance on SMT equipment at all levels.
Occasionally change feeders, splice reels, and scan parts as required.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and adhere to 6S standards.
Complete additional duties as assigned
