Job summary

Foxconn Industrial Internet (FII) seeks an Engineering Manager for the SMT/PCB assembly group in San Jose, CA. This hands-on leader will drive process development, equipment optimization, NPI, and continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in SMT/ electronics manufacturing, with 3+ years in a management role, strong SMT equipment knowledge, and experience with Lean/Six Sigma, DFM, IPC/ESD standards. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

10+ years of SMT process/manufacturing engineering experience in electronics assembly.
3+ years in a supervisory or management role leading engineering or production teams.
Strong knowledge of SMT equipment.
Experience with NPI, DFM, and Lean Six Sigma.
ERP/MES familiarity; IPC standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the SMT engineering team to meet objectives.
Oversee day-to-day SMT production engineering activities for stability and yield.
Manage SMT equipment and optimization including AOI systems.
Drive process improvements and NPI for SMT lines.
Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Supply Chain to resolve issues.
Define SMT process standards and maintenance plans.
Analyze SPC, OEE data and implement corrective actions.
Support audits and ensure IPC/ISO/ESD standards compliance.
