Job summary

Lowes Foods in Pennsylvania is seeking a team-oriented associate for the Smokehouse department. You will deliver friendly guest service, engage guests with samples, and contribute to high-quality meat and deli operations.

You’ll perform multi-tasking duties, adhere to safety and sanitation standards, assist with stock and merchandising, and support the team in meeting company guidelines. Prior meat cutting and culinary knowledge are preferred, and you must be 18 or older.

Qualifications

• Friendly, energetic and outgoing personality.
• Must be able to actively engage guests and be willing to have fun with our guests.
• Willingness to perform in front of large crowd and draw attention to the Smokehouse department.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks, simultaneously.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Previous meat cutting/trimming experience.
• Previous Culinary knowledge and/or background preferred.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of deli as well as meat department operations.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to effectively communicate with, and take direction from supervision.
• Ability to work well with computers.

• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards
• Maintain HACCP required product information log sheets as necessary
• Perform light meat cutting duties as needed
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management
• Perform PA announcements
