Homebase is seeking a Product Specialist, Payroll, to help small business owners confidently run payroll and maximize Homebase Payroll. You’ll combine payroll product expertise with empathy to guide customers through workflows and resolve questions, partnering across Product, Engineering, and Customer Experience to improve experiences.

You’ll join a team focused on trust, clarity, and efficiency during high-impact payroll moments, with opportunities to leverage AI tools and scalable processes.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience supporting payroll, payroll software, HR tech, SaaS, or customer experience.
• Ability to explain payroll concepts clearly to customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity while managing multiple conversations.
• Interest in using AI tools to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through payroll workflows and revenue-impacting moments.
• Explain technical payroll concepts and resolve product questions.
• Identify customer pain points and work with Product/Engineering to improve workflows.
