Customer Success Engineer

We’re looking for a Customer Success Engineer to drive the success of Procore’s SMB customers. In this role, you’ll be the product champion of Procore and serve as a subject matter expert throughout the customer journey, from implementation to renewal. Your success is measured by customer adoption and business performance gains from their investment in Procore, helping improve the lives of our construction customers by connecting them on a global platform.

As a Customer Success Engineer on the SMB Team, you’ll be responsible for post-sales implementation success and long-term adoption of a shared book of business. You’ll help organizations understand construction technology best practices and the business benefits they can gain. You’ll work in a collaborative, creative, and driven environment that values openness, optimism, and ownership. Leveraging your consultative mindset, construction industry knowledge, and familiarity with Procore’s platforms, you’ll provide clients with recommendations to maximize their Procore technology value and explore other products. You’ll partner closely with Sales, PS, Support, Product, and Marketing teams. Candidates passionate about construction and technology are preferred.

This role can be remote within the Central or Eastern U.S. time zones or based in our Carpinteria, CA, or Austin, TX offices. Immediate joiners are encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Make data-driven recommendations to optimize Procore’s value based on analytics and industry best practices.
  2. Craft value-based presentations addressing customer business challenges to accelerate platform adoption.
  3. Provide updates on product roadmaps and releases to help clients benefit from new features.
  4. Lead product demonstrations and coordinate technical resources.
  5. Deliver responsive, high-quality customer service through clear communication.
  6. Support and mentor team members to foster a positive team culture.
  7. Collaborate across departments to develop best practices and drive company evolution.
  8. Develop mastery of Procore’s products, services, and industry standards.
  9. Travel up to 15% for client visits, industry events, and office visits.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years in Customer Success, Professional Services, or Technical Pre-Sales.
  • 2+ years of construction industry expertise.
  • Strong technical aptitude to learn Procore’s offerings and emerging tech.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders on tight deadlines.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and writing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience as a technology evangelist or promoting modernization in construction is a plus.
  • Understanding of construction verticals (general contracting, subcontracting, real estate development, etc.) is a plus.
  • Previous roles as Project Manager, Site Super, Estimator, or Project Engineer are preferred.
  • Experience managing construction projects, including bidding, procurement, RFIs, drawings, specifications, and safety, is preferred.
  • A positive, energetic attitude suited for a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information:

Base pay range: $67,840 - $93,280 plus commission, with estimated on-target earnings of $84,800 - $116,600. Equity compensation is also available. Compensation depends on skills, experience, education, and location.
